Enjoyed it very much! Our family camped for a weekend during the "Christmas in July" and had such a blast. The kids obviously loved the pool and huge slide, but they also enjoyed the pavilion that had a DJ playing fun music each night w/ Yogi & company dancing, as well as the awesome sites decked out with crazy Xmas decorations. And it was great to see Yogi and the other bears driving throughout the campground randomly greeting everyone. Great campground and worth the visit!
Too many people driving golf carts after 12 am and being loud. Apparently no quiet hour rules are enforced or respected.
We stopped here because we had company coming and wanted to attend the Oshkosh Airshow. This park is only 30 minutes from the Oshkosh airshow so good location especially if you're booking at last minute. The pool and water slide are nice, and they do have some activities scheduled for the kids. However, the reasons I gave it a less than average review was 1) We couldn't get hold of anyone at the park for 2-3 days prior to our arrival and yes, we did call many, many times and left messages; 2) we rented a pontoon boat $160/half day & it was dirty and full of spiders and spider webs. It wasn't apparent to us that anyone had cleaned or prepared the boat for us. I ended up borrowing a rage from them and cleaning it up ... UGH! 3) we played putt putt golf which was nice but most of the putters were broken so had to share (there was no one else playing at that time either), 4) if you have a package delivered here (which is why we were trying to call the office before our arrival to verify address, etc.) you may have to pick it up at the post office yourself (not a big deal but if you don't have a car something you may want to know), and 5) some of the staff were complaining about a co-worker while I stood there waiting for them to finish ... 5-10 minutes REALLY! Another thing, if you book a pump out $12 be sure to book in advance otherwise it is $16 for same day service. One last thing there are a lot of what looks like permanent RVers which seem to have all the good shady spots.
I have been going here since I was a child and I still enjoy it immensely as a good place for a calm atmosphere. It is a great family vacation spot and have all amenities to cater to those who enjoy tent camping to those who like home away from home vacations. It is a tad expensive though. Still recommend!
Very nice place to camp, sites are nice but staff is very un-helpful and bad customer service too.
